How cold?

Upon picking up my handsome little man from pre-k yesterday, we had this great covo about, what else? The weather.

"Hey, Evvie! How was school?"
"Did you get to play outside today?"
"No. It was too cold!"
"It WAS pretty cold today, wasn't it?"
"Yeah! It was below colding!!"

Were you invited to the New Year's Eve Formal Ball? Yeah, neither was I, but Emma, on the other hand...
New Year's Party Dance!
(sing Gang nam Style now...)
Our effergie burning this year consisted of a whole lotta post-it-notes inside this little box.

So long, bad habits and other such things we want to leave with 2012!!

A silly string spray gun!
We had a couple families that joined us for the event.
One is my ever-so-favorite baby Joseph...who did NOT like the stupid headband he was forced to don for the event.
The other was Bailey & fam, who we have not seen since LAST SUMMER! What a surprise!
(Here you go, mom. you're ONE picture before I start my protest again!!)
I helped baby Ev aim for daddy!

...and we shot off fireworks for the first 15 minutes of 2013

The aftermath the next morning...
(HOW do they DO that?!?!)
...and passed OUT momma & Dobby, with Harley longing for a spot, too.

Happy New Year, everyone!!
May it be the BEST yet!

Ice! Ice!, Baby!

It hasn't actually snowed here more than a flurry or two.
It hasn't even hardly rained.
But, rain or sleet or snow or tornado, OSU keeps its sprinklers on.
And it made a pretty fun stop for us one afternoon.

Nom nom nom!

Christmas 2012

It's been almost a month since that morning when the little einsteins woke us up at TWO in the morning, and then four, and then six, when out they ran to see what awaited them under the tree.
(And so, I must document the day before my old age takes it away!)

Santa and his hard working elves delivered exactly what they had asked for: A Nintendo Dsi XL for Emma and a hotwheel for Evan.

A skype call with Uncle Alex in Japan!
One of the very best gifts for Christmas :)
And later on, Uncle Brock, Uncle Kurt, and Grandad & Grandar came for dinner, after which Uncle Brock helped build a grand car race track!
It was quiet, and fun.
Warm and relaxing.
(I think we even wore our pj's all day long!)

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas Day!
