Foggy River Monday

Happy Monday! Today we were off to a laid back beginning. We woke up at around 7 to realize just why this place is called "Foggy River". There was a beautiful blanket of fog over the river right outside our windows. John couldn't resist a chance to photograph it, and of course, Emma tagged along in her pajamas. View from our patio - breathtaking :)Emma in her pajamas on the boat dock with daddy, watching the foggy river.
After watching it quickly fade away, we came inside for breakfast and the girls were ready to swim! A dip in the pool and sunbathing, then off to town! Emma & Lauren wading in the pool (with pool man behind, who had just rescued them from a frog...)My bathing beauty :)What a sweetie!Daddy & Evan (in his first pair of Speedos!)Crawling on a floatee isn't quite the same...Getting sunscreen on for the day!
We first went to the Tanger Outlet Mall to get John some running shoes (he didn't bring any, and couldn't wear flip flops all day long tomorrow at Silver Dollar City!). Next we went to see the Hollywood Wax Museum. It was pretty cool. Emma wasn't so sure about the wax folks, even though beforehand she was excidedly telling Lauren "They're made of wax! You know, like EAR wax?!?" Hee hee! We survived, and Emma added her 2nd Branson pressed coin to her collection (The 1st was the McDonalds - not technically Branson, but it was on this trip, so, I guess it counts.

King Kong attacks John & Emma!Oh, Mr. Hefner! You're so funny!Emma's favorite, Nacho Libre! The men in black...and orange! The boys looking for...a contact lens??John & I with the king, Elvis!
We then scurried all the kids back to "home" for some more swimming & naps for the little ones.
Tonight was Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Show. Dolly Parton appeared in voiceover and on video at the end, but the narrorator lady was a good enough copycat. :) They did a lot of trick riding and stunts that were really amazing on the horses. We were seated on the "Yankee" side, as opposed to the southern rebel side. A great show! We walked away with a boot mug for each kiddo and another shot glass for John. Emma & one of the show horses, Trouble. The fam in the dinner arena (photos weren't allowed, so I snuck them on my iphone)Emma & one of the "Belles" of the show. Here's a shot of the arena...and Emma's boot mug :)Afterwards, we got to pet the horses!
Tomorrow: Silver Dollar City!
