A Grand Finale!

Well, the final night of the dance recital has come & gone, and went out with a bang! It's so nice to watch from the audience and see all the effort that Emma has put into her dancing over the past school year. She knew her dances by heart, and waved at us several times (hee hee!) while on stage. It brings tears to my eyes to think that not long ago, those graceful little legs were dancing so beautifully in my tummy! I thank God every day for that little angel. My tiny dancer. Her friend, Gavin, and his mom came to watch the final night. Gavin has an appreciation for all things that Emma does (so cute!), and was in amazement at seeing his friends dancing on the "big stage". He brought her one pink rose, and one purple. Emma says its because it both their favorite colors. :)Granma Joyce & Virginia (recital verterans from last year!) drove down from Barnsdall, about an hour & a half to see her dance again. (And Emma wouldn't have had it any other way!). She also got to introduce them to her favorite Stillwater restraunt, New China Buffet. I would have probably chose something more "Stillwater exclusive", but it was her night, so that's where we went!
Other recital goers included our neighbor, Holly, and Auntie Nickle and Gramma J, who all had to rush off afterwards (casualties of a school night recital, I guess!), but we were, of course, very happy to have them there!
Here she is with her dozen and a half roses! :)

So, now that dance has ended, and girl scouts, we are left with 4 days of school and 2 weeks of Kindermusik, and summer will officially begin! Today was the first day of enrollment in the reading club at the library, so I got both kiddos signed up. (Yay!)

The weather has dried out, so I am actually outside typing this! The flowers are blooming more every day! Last year, I had planted all butterfly flowers and bushes, so this year they have (almost) all grown back huge & the butterflies are coming nonstop! It's so pretty! This photo is a visitor that was in my garden yesterday!

Coming up this week: Last day of school & Yearbook signing party, Evan's 9 month check-up (even though he's almost 10...), library storytime, Wonder Wheel-A-Thon, and an overnight campout at my in-laws house. And that's just the kid's schedule :)
Have a great day!
